It does take time..patti's right.
But if you can...get away for a day or two...get a massage. Maybe a total change of scenery, doing something totally new/different would just help clear your head a bit?

I've had good results with this, =when= I practice regularly:

It helps to have a CD or take a class, and it doesn't take 15 minutes to get results.
Self-"hypnosis" or self-relations therapy taught by the right therapist can be good, too.

I was going to suggest yoga. Or hugging a dog. Or getting out of town and hiking in nature.
